A bill to ban vaping and smoking on all University of Hawaii campuses statewide crossed over from the state Senate to the House.

A bill to ban vaping and smoking on all University of Hawaii campuses statewide crossed over from the state Senate to the House.

Senate Bill 134, if passed by the full Legislature, will prohibit “smoking and tobacco use, including the use of electronic smoking devices, by any person on the premises of the University of Hawaii.”

Students, faculty and visitors could still carry smoking and vaping supplies. But they would not be allowed to vape or smoke on campus.
